Position Overview
Being organized, punctual, and energetic is a prerequisite. This position offers market competitive compensation and full benefits commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience. While our corporate office is located in Savannah, we are a distributed workforce of employees across many time zones and countries and are comfortable with work-from-home situations thus this position is open for either a local or remote hire. In the case of a local hire, it is up to the individual whether they would rather work from home or from the office with the opportunity to gather at the office as needed for training, planning or collaboration.

Responsibilities
Below are some of the responsibilities a front-end developer is expected to assume:

• Design and build web applications with web development best practices
• Transform app designs into front-end code with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Work with back-end developers to integrate UI components with APIs and databases
• Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical requirements or UX design
• Debug errors, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine performance optimizations
• Write high-quality, scalable, and reusable code
• Stay plugged into emerging technologies and industry trends

Job Qualifications and Skill Sets
Below are the qualifications expected of a front-end developer:

• Skilled at front-end engineering using Object-Oriented JavaScript
• Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks such as Riot.js, React, Angular, or Vue
• Proficiency with HTML5, including semantic HTML5 elements, microformats, and WAI-ARIA
• Familiarity with CSS preprocessors such as Sass, Less, or Stylus
• Experience with build tools such as Grunt, Gulp, or Webpack
• Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
• Experience with version control tools
• Well-versed in software engineering principles, frameworks and technologies
• Basic proficiency with Photoshop and web design
• Excellent communication skills
• Self-directed team player who thrives in a continually changing environment
• Commitment to user-centered design principles
• Experience with cross-browser compatibility testing
